My rubber Pachmayr grips on my Gold Cup have given up the ghost and I need to replace them. I have been looking at Hogue rubbers and Pachmayrs. I think I want rubber again versus wood, anyhow some suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,

Patrick

You may want to consider grips made out of G10 or micarta. At least as grippy as rubber and better looking. As for Hogue rubber grips with finger grooves on the front strap, they look absolutely hideous on 1911 in my opinion.

Pachmayrs...

Personally, I really like the Pachmayr wraparounds with no thumb swells....

Check out VZ Grips. Here's the set on my Colt and I find them very comfortable, grippy and much more durable than any rubber grip such as Hogue or Pachmyar...
