New Grizzly-MAG Shotgun video

This may be a dumb question, but what is inside the mag tube on a magazine fed model? Nothing, would be my guess. Or could you use it to store shells, or put some kind of weight to reduce recoil?

Canucklehead:

Im thinking it would be a veru good place to put a mercury recoil reducer, however, if one is able to adapt the Brobee concept to this, you could also put that reducer into the buffer tube.

Ah so many options.

14" VangComp barrel.
long rail (for longer sight radius)
BUIS A2 Style
MESA tactical EndLine recoil buffer
Vltor club foot in Foliage green
Falcon Ego grip, foliage green
Railed forend, Foliage green Rail covers
5 position veritcal grip
quality red dot like an Aimpoint or Burris XTS in a A.R.M.S.® #22M68™ Throw Lever® Ring with appropriate spaces
flash light,
single point AR sling attachment
Appropriate Blue force gear single point sling
A vest to cary Mags.................

Canam- how soon till delivery..................Would like to know so i can schedule my build:D

Of equal interest to me are those sights. I spoke briefly to Josef Dlask at the Chilliwack gun show yesterday, about the idea of a simple set of open sights, like the front blade on his 8.5 inch barrels, in conjunction with a low, smooth rear. Low and smooth so the gun can fit in and be easily drawn out of a scabbard (or from under your mattress!);) Just enough sight so that the slugs can reliable be placed in a 4 in. circle at 7 to 10 m.

Uh scuse me but this is a shotgun with a short barrel and ranges will be close. If anybody has shot theirs at least a few times, sights are redudnant.
That is the thing about shotguns-you point and shoot unless you are using a rifled barrel and shooting slugs out to 100yds. I never even look at the bead on any of my shotguns and manage to do very well even with trap and skeet.
So I am surprised at the big interest for sights. Just would never occur to me to put something like that on a short barrel. If its close its dead. Period. Especially if it is man sized and nasty. 7-10yds for a target 2ft wide?? Kaboom! Or is there some arcane use that I am not considering? Or is it the look? Sure has a cool factor nor argument. Just curious:)

The sights only serve a purpose when the gun itself is being used for it's intended purpose. As a tactical shotgun it's purpose is to get lead onto a target, everytime. When your shooting form is compromised by the requirements of the situation (cover, lighting, etc) then you can't fire instinctively with accuracy. There may also be a time when you have to make a shot past 50m in a tactical situation, why reduce your effective range for the sake of a few ounces of steel?
I couldn't agree more that there is no purpose for sights on a sporting shotgun, unless it's firing slugs.
Cheers,
Grant

So sights on a tactical short barrel make sense then. Whoda thunk? Gotta learn somethin every day on this site. Besides that they are kinda cool. Another of lifes mysteries solved. Thanks for the info.
