New GSG 1911 in the safe... now, what do you shoot in it?

Mine uses Federal or Winchester bulk most of the time, Ive had a couple rounds not cycle properly but very far and few between.

Thanks 05RAV, I will definitely get one after Christmas. I found the gun awful picky about ammo until I polished the slide, even now all I run in it is cci mini mags.

If so, also buy the red "ZRTS GSG 1911 - .22 Buffer" from Blue Line Solutions. It's a high quality teflon buffer, much better than the factory one. At the moment it's sold out (because it's so popular!) but Blue Line Solutions replenish their stock frequently, so it should be available soon.
Happy shooting!

To anyone that owns or has owned the GSG or SIG 1911 22. When fieldstripping, did you find it difficult to push the slide off?? I find mine requires a bit of force to take off. Not sure if I need to sand something down.

In the beginning everything is tight on the GSG 1911. I have around 2000 shots through the pipe and it became smooth like a butter. Having said that, I always use a dab of lithium white grease smeared off on a barrel and the slide rails. Keep it "wet".

Broke mine in with CCI Mini Mags...about 1000 rounds...now shoots most everything. I shoot plenty of Remington Bucket of bullets although in last bucket getting plenty of under loaded rounds. American Eagle seems to work fine now as well.
Enjoy the firearm.
