NEW! GSG MP-40 .22lr NON-RESTRICTED

It needs only 1" longer barrel to keep "folded" over 650mm. Add it to the barrel between front sight and a frame and nobody would notice. Why pinocchio?

Probably instead of tooling up a Canadian specific version they just used the UK version which has a 12" barrel. Cheaper for everyone to streamline the production process or we might have to pay even more or god forbid buy the American 16" Barrell version.

12" is better than 16"

Ahhhhh crap another purchase just for the cool factor. I must say for how cheap the stg 44 feels it is a hoot to shoot. With my red dot it’s a tack driver for 25 rounds at 50 yards. Who can resist the MP 40. Even as a wall hanger the nestalgic icon of the MP 40 like the tommy gun so much want and can never own one.

Welcome back Blueline. Great to see good companies here. I will buy one of these new guns as soon as they arrive. However I will never pre order anything. My opinion is that it is a desparate form of marketing a product. I don't see any disadvantage to a business if they just wait until stock arrives. The upside is you avoid all the bad publicity and drama when things go wrong. You still sell the same amount in the end.

Hello Everyone,

After some time of being absent from Canadian Gun Nuts, we are back! As a welcome gift, we bring some amazing news to our customers, followers and Canadian shooters.

The German Sport Guns MP-40 in .22 LR Caliber, with the 23 round magazine, will finally be available in Canada under the NON-RESTRICTED status.

We are currently taking pre-orders, please contact your local dealer as quantities will be limited. German Sport Guns is on full steam to produce as many MP-40s as we need, and we, at Blue Line Solutions will try our darn hardest to satisfy demand.

Pricing and MSRP will be determined on arrival, but we can say in confidence that it will be in line with past rifles of such nature, in example the GSG STG 44 which hovers around $599 MSRP.

We predict a few of you will ask if the 9mm is coming in the future. The short answer is (hopefully) YES! The manufacturer is currently working on the Canadian Spec. 9mm rifle. Once finished, we will submit it to RCMP for classification.

Happy Weekend and Happy Shooting!

For now, let’s enjoy some pictures.

Just out of curiosity whats the status on the GSG MP5 22 LR how is this one allowed and that one was running into hurdles

because it has the letters "MP" directly followed by the number 5 in the name. If the Blaze 47 is a "variant" of AK, you better believe a .22 MP5 clone is also a "variant"

Posted earlier but the MP5 is a named prohibited, the mp40 is not.

OMFG THIS JUST MADE MY YEAR!! maybe one day we can get mp5 :p

mp5 would be sweet

Just as an aside the MP5 and its variants are named prohibited firearms. This would include the GSG-5 and the Walther/Umarex MP5 .22lr replicas.

- 2008-02, German Sport Guns GSG-5 (semi-automatic 22LR, prohibited as an MP5 variants) "February 25, 2008: The RCMP’s FRT Department classified GSG-5 as prohibited weapon, claiming it to be HK-MP5 variant. The decision was entirely based on visual appearance, rather than technical facts. We have decided to dispute that decision. We retained T. Murray Rankin Q.C. of Heenan Blaikie to pursue a review of that decision and, if necessary, an appeal. We will further inform you of any developments on this matter. "

As far as I know that lawsuit didn't go anywhere.

We received a few questions regarding the magazine quality and material. The magazine for the MP40 .22LR is made out of polymer (same material as the STG44 magazines), and is of very good quality and durability.
