New! Gsg mp-40 9mm restricted & non-restricted versions

If your chiappa used a proprietary chiappa mag it would be 5 rnds
If it uses a mag designed for a pistol it's 10 rnds .
These MP40's use a mag that is not a pistol mag so its 5 rnds

Ok I did not know that but you have to admit that law makes no sence because 10 rounds is 10 rounds nomatter if its coming out of a rifle or pistol magazine. Our laws don't make much sence sometimes. That's too bad because with the mp40 long magazine 10 rounds would have been nice because with 5 rounds and magazines at 50 bucks each you would spend most of your time reloading I think. I could have lived with the 5 round magazine if the barrel was normal size lol

Like the other poster told me it does not use pistol magazines it only uses the gsg factory 5 round magazines. If you have glock magazines and want a good rifle for those buy the ruger pc carbine it uses glock 10 round magazines and its a reliable gun and its cheaper to buy than the mp40.

People are already considering adapting 10 round stick pistol mags. These may be pistols in the USA, but here they are probably CV - Commercial Variants of some military SMG, and those are all 5 round. Goes back to C-17 gun law.

I like running Glock mags in my non restricted JRC better

Recently handled the .22 version.

Although the .22 version it seemed a reasonable weight and overall appearance wise resembled the mp40 as near as I could care for.

Unless I wanted a real one....but for an approximate shooting experience in 9mm restricted length etc it looks good.

Thompson goes straight to the banned list.

All other suggestions are good.

But so is the MP40......did you miss the context of this thread?

These are replica firearms using different non prohib actions.

Sorry if I was not clear.

We are talking about replica firearms with different actions like the ATI MP40.

The ATI 9mm MP40 LOOKS like a MP40 but is not prohib because it is not a MP40.

Why would somebody suggest something prohib?

Obviously we are talking a different closed bolt action etc.

It is not prohib because it looks like a prohib otherwise the ATI MP40 wouldn't be coming for sale right?

The Thompson M1A1 would be like the MP40 and designed to be acceptable semi auto.

5 shot drum or stick sucks but it would be cool and no reason it can't be done.

Would sell better than hotcakes!

It would looks slightly different like the ATI MP40 but it would be non prohib.

Maybe accessorize with a violin case? :)

" The Thompson M1A1 would be like the MP40 and designed to be acceptable semi auto. "

It would be cool if they could pull that off.

But we've already seen a rifle banned because it resembled an AK.
