Just have to go get an aperature sight, and an O-ring for the stupid cross-bolt.

Order Clyde Ludwigs cross bolt replacement for $9 American, you will be very happy in the end, I know I was and still am for all my Marlins. Beats a rubber O ring, can we say cheeeeeeeze :p :D J/K :D

We'll see exactly how much the cross-bolt pisses me off in the field, before I go and do something "drastic.":dancingbanana:

Those "Big Loops" are something expensive for what they are, though.

So how does one eliminate the action of the crossbolt ?

I gotta have a second look at my 1894C and play with the crossbolt safety.

O-ring , eh ? So the O-ring is strong enough to keep that cross bolt in the "fire" position ?

I guess that O-ring is cheaper than a few screws that will replace that crossbolt safety bits.

Thanks for your suggestions.

It sounds like taking off the stock and tightening the safety so it can't move is even cheaper and more secure. I'll go that route till I get the kit.

Forgot to mention how nice your rifle looks Mike
