Bought my first muzzleloader the other day. A T/C Impact. Included with it was a T/C branded scope, as well as fiber optic sights, hard case, bullets/sabots, cleaner, lube, patches, load tubes... basically all the essentials to get going, save the primers and charges or powder. I paid $412 for all mentioned above as well as primers and Triple 7 pellets.

I have yet to fire my new purchase as the weather has been crappy and been busy with other stuff. I just was wondering what other T/C Impact owners have to say about this gun and any tips, tricks, recommended bullets, primers, powder/pellets? Any special cleaning regimes that you may want to advise?

As I say, this is my first muzzleloader so any advice would be great. Thanks in advance!

I use 777 pellets. 50s. Either 2 or 3 pellets depending on which ml I'm using. It builds the sugar ring with 3 pellets but a wet patch between shots clears it

Best tip I can give is 2 part. Always wet the patch after a shot. A dry patch will get stuck and it will happen while another deer is 30 yards away and staring at you. Get a T bar handle that screws into the ramrod to help with cleaning. Trust me I have a ramrod with a tooth marked brass end. Good luck and happy shooting

Blackhorn 209. Also buy a proper rod for loading and cleaning. With Blackhorn you need a hot
primer.

i agree, cci 209M primers is what they recommend with blackhorn 209. i use a knight field rod when out shooting. 2 friend bought impacts a couple of years ago and have been using them for our two week shotgun season as well as our week long muzzleloader season without issue. we all use barnes muzzleloader bullets of some kind, we found better accuracy with them than using T/C shockwaves or hornady in our T/C's. 4 of us use T/C's my encore, buddies omega and two buddies have impacts. my father in-law started using my blackhorn 209 in his cva wolf and doesn't want to ever use 777 again but is too cheap to buy his own... guess who has to try to find another container. that stuff is like powdered gold.....

My apologies for pic quality.. iPhone isn't taking good pics lately  and Instagram isn't helping them look any better.

I need to get myself one of those. One of my dad's friends is big into muzzleloaders and always gets his deer before rifle season opens. Gotta get me some of that!
