Today was my first day as a licensed gun owner at the range, I have a Browning Buck Mark Camper and shot 200 rounds,on three or four shots (in all the excitement I kind of lost count) the spent cartridge got caught buy the slide as it closed and I had to pull the slide back a bit to release the cartridge which was sticking out the side of the gun. I was shooting Blazer .22LR bulk what gives did I buy a lemon or is this normal for an autoloader????

Try using a bullet that is a little faster than the blazers. With the extra power it can make your rifle cycle a little cleaner. Or you can just get used to clearing the odd jam. Cngrats on getting your licence.

You didn't buy a lemon, Skinny.

Like all semi-autos (and most other firearms) the gun has to be broken in. Clean it well and shoot a few hundred more through it.

Try different brands of ammo, as well. My Buckmark Camper loves American Eagle and Federal bulk ammo. It HATES Winchester Wildcat and Remington Golden Bullet.
