I had a friend pick me up a Sako 85 grey wolf stainless laminate at the Lloyd gun show. I cant say what caliber as the sensitive boys may get peeved. Action is smooth as butter.

I just bought a new Sako 85 Gray Wolf in 22-250 from Battle River Sports in Stettler, Alberta it should be here in a couple of days.

I saw it while I was there but I had just bought a 50th anniversary Rem 700 LSS in 280 Rem a couple days before and had a new to me T/C Contender carbine in 375 Win in the mail so decided that I couldn't afford another gun right then but when I got home I couldn't stop thinking about it so I called back.

He gave me such a good deal that I couldn't turn it down.

I'm thinking you made a good choice with whatever caliber you bought...

Does a Cooper have a detachable clip? I believe Coopers are more expensive. I got a great deal is why I jumped at it.

Yes the coopers have a detachable mag. Yes they are more expensive, but not by much. Sako Alberta said the excalibers are around $2100, the wooden classics are just under $2000. Cooper is not chambering magnum cartridges, probably a bummer for you.:p

I eventually would like a cooper .204. Clay is a great guy to deal with. I bougt a CZ .204 for gopher hunting off him and am very very pleased. I do like the smoothness of the sako action and need a detachable mag for hunting
