I had a friend come visit me and he wanted to see my new SR-22. So I handed it to him and while he's talking to me he is rubbing the gun and the barrel looking it over and I noticed he had his wedding ring on... he hands the gun back to me and there are scratches all over the barrel right through the blueing and to the metal
The gun is a week old and to say I'm not happy is an understatement. Anyways so he leaves and I run the gun into my shop remove all oil off the barrel with alcohol and apply blueing to the scratched areas... after a bit of applying, removing, applying etc. the marks are almost unnoticeable now... thank God.
Through this I created a new gun rule: I am the only one allowed to handle my guns from now on.
Am I being too anal??
