That is a nice looking rifle, but I heard tell that the Czech soldiers are gripping their VZ58's very tightly not wanting to give them up for the new upstart rifle.

Hmmm...I wonder if they're worried about going to 5.56 (from762x39) or if they're just really used to the Vz's and don't yet trust the new rifle...

I'd be gripping my cz858 too if the russians were saber rattling down the street with nato and the EU the way they are, i'd be very worried if I was in Prague right now.
Its not a good time to be in eastern europe these days.

While these are some sweet looking firearms Bowzy, add another 10"+/- of barrel for NR status and they get to looking a little fugly like a stock JR Carbine.

Nothing wrong in Restricted form though, but the OP is asking for a NR rifle.

Not to mention according to the production price (I am not allowed to reveal it) I believe the SMG9 made by SDM will be around $800 price range So let's hope RCMP can release it soon.
