hello all,

one of your members here has invited me to cross the border and check out your forum.

thanks for the invite.

I live on the beach in north carolina, usa. have been collecting milsurps for about 35 years and have managed to put together a fair collection. sks's are my favorites. I prefer semi's over bolt guns. pic below of myself and some shooting buddies. I'm the first one on the left front row with the sks and H&K94 in hand.

you guys have me drooling over all these great russian sks's you have been getting. thanks to good old billy clinton we will never see any more of them.

my latest endeavor has been some AK builds. just finished my first one.

From the intel I've gathered over the years traveling the USA, you,ve been cutoff from Russian/Chinese firearms imports. You still have the capability to own Full-Auto after applying for the ATF permit in most states, CCW and all the milsurp parts we can no longer obtain. Something we can only hope to have.

Despite our flood of Chinese/Russian SKS's and they are beauts, they are still pinned to 5 rds only whereas you are not limited in most states to magazine size.

IMO, the Clinton ban was about US manufactures complaining about domestic sales dropping due to cheap imports and later the 7.62x39 which we can no longer obtain any US ammo in that caliber.

We are rather limited in ammo selection up here, but flooded with SKS's soon to run out of steam once the hoarders buy it up. In any case enjoy the forum. :)

Well, we got the SKS, you got to keep the FN-FALs, Steyr AUGs, Calicos, AKs and many other our great government's DoGooders & Bluenoses banned around here.

being an older guy and in the game for many years I have many goodies from BC (before clinton).

finger in the trigger and everything, he's a cop no less. some people forget everything when you point a camera at them. as for the other guy and the kid, the guy is actually about 3 feet infront of the kid.
 
That powerline looks exactly like the one's we have here in SE British Columbia.

In fact... it's likely our hydro power running through there. Why do you think BC Hydro (pic your local hydro company in Canada) is all gungho about making sure we save electricity? The less we use, the more they can resell to California at 5x the price.

Welcome aboard Beach Bum. We love what you have and can do over there! We may have the SKS but most of our gun laws are senseless.

BTW thought I'd point out he's from North Carolina, not California. Just in case...
 
Welcome Beachbum. I'm in Wake Forest NC. VZ 58 man myself. Lots of info. and enthuiasm here.I chaulk it up to the "Don't Miss Your Water" syndrome.Good folks who know some stuff. I'll say it again. Beware, Dogooders never sleep.
