New guy here, from Richmond Hill ON

Hey there Gun Nutz. I was introduced to this place by a member here, and a friend of mine, Wolf Noir. I'm looking forward to digging around this forum and learning as much as I can, as well as contribute as I gain knowledge & experience.

A bit about myself. I've never owned or fired a firearm, though I've been wanting to learn for the longest time. My main goal for this is to join a club to do some plinking and target shooting, and perhaps eventually get into hunting small game.

Always nice to have another Toronto-area person aboard; the best way to figure what to buy is to try first....so get yourself invited to a slew of ranges.......

Greetings & Welcome neighbour! I have a buddy who shoots southpaw, so he loves lever action, semi or pump, since all are ambidextrous. He's right eye dominant, even though he's a southpaw, and he has no problem shooting and knocking down game. It's just a matter of practice and time. Lots of luck to you, and nice to have you aboard.

hey lets just pull out the Richmond Hill welcome wagon. Im from Richmond Hill as well. and im left handed.. left eye dom. this site is FULL of great information. and the sponsers have all been a great help in helping me pick things out. lets see if we can get some sort of CGN night goin at the firkin

Thanks for the welcome again guys. RPAL should be in my hands within the coming week! I'm very excited.

I've got my eyes on a few rifles already. Problem is, it's all just window shopping over the internet, I have not tried shooting any of them, so I really have no idea if I'll even like them in the long run or not. I have shot a few Glock pistols and like them, so perhaps I'll someday own a Glock 17, but for now I'm looking to rifles as my first purchases.

In case you guys are wondering, I'm thinking these: Marlin Model 60 Stainless Steel (with the grey laminated stock), and Simonov SKS. I also really like the Marlin 1894 Lever Action in .44 Mag. But my bank account says no at this time, LOL.

You know what? I've been living in Richmond Hill for about 10 years now and not once have I set foot in Falcon & Firkin. Unbelievable eh? I live literally minutes from there.

lol yea, it took some time to get myself there too and ive been here all my life. some nights its dead and some nights its packed. What kind of shooting are you looking to get into? window shopping is something i do alot of too. borders on obsession when i want to start looking at a build.
