Hello all, so I'm new to shooting (like really new my PAL just arrived and I have a buddy to go shoot with), I've got a .22 that I'm really excited about but am thinking about future pruchase's on a budget. What centerfire ammo do you look for that is widely available and somewhat cost effective?

I've got a love for lever guns so that's probably what I'll keep looking at purchase wise. I've been trying to just google losts of ammo in ascending price points but am not having much in the way of luck.

Cheers!

I don't know that I have the experience or knowledge as yet to provide more information, sorry about that :(

Well are you more interested in tactical rifles or more of an old west style rifle?

Edit: I see that you like the lever guns (I do too!). In that case, I would go for a lever action chambered in .357. The nice thing about that, is a gun chambered in .357 will be able to shoot .38 special which is a cheap to shoot pistol round.

That's a great option for levers I bought a Ruger Black Hawk with the same intention and only shoot 38's now
