I'm not in any way affiliated with SAG, just sharing what they showed. This handguard will be available in a week or two. No price point yet but I expect similar to their other offerings + shipping from the Czech Republic... I plan on picking one up.

Yes they show it on the rk 92 but no reason it won't fit a m88 or 78 it attaches on the barrel rat the receiver and the gas tube is replaced with theirs that catches on the gas tube slot in the receiver.

Feel free to look them up on FB or their website.

Where?

:)

Also, It would be nice to see better angle shots for how it actually fits... right now the only way to fit a different handguard on an M88 is to remove old gas block (that has a side loop for a sling), remove a little matetiral off the barrel, fit a a handguard retainer on the barrel, and then reinstall the (a) gasblock aftewards.

I thought i had a better pic of my 'naked' m88 avail.. but i dont (you can almost see the sling loop on the other side of the gasblock):

They have it on the rk.92 - different sling loops. I was worried about this as well, I believe the handguard is going to be just short of the sling loop on the m88 judging by how it aligns with the gas block pins.

They have more pictures on their FB page. I believe they have a galil too, so could ask them to see how well it fits... I think it has a sling loop that's more like the m88...

Aye,

in any case, if it's easier to fit this thing rather than everything else, I'll very likely take one as well! :)

Given that the receiver end looks like a clamp on the barrel, and the handguard screws into this clamp, it looks easier.

I did. I ran into an issue with the gas piston fitting into the gas tube that comes with the handguard. My life took a wildly different turn around then so the whole thing is sitting disassembled in a box in the gun room... I hope to come back to it some day... I have a full machine shop now so I could do the modifications necessary but I'm perpetually busy with other projects... For other people :(

Or I could pick up a rk 92 piston... Or a whole rk 92...
