Had the opporutnity to fondle a cool little gun the other day. The FMK 9mm.
I was just playing with the first and only one to make it to Canada as of yet. They're expected to make it into the distributor's hands end of June, with a good amount of them coming in for a first run.
I was impressed with them for what they are, and even more impressed with the price tag. 2 mags, interchangable sights, carrying case and all the fixings has an estimated msrp of 449.
Form and function are almost identical to a glock (Expecting some to freak out on this one) with the guts sharing the same operating principle. Suprisingly the gun was extremely compact and I was questioning it being a 12.6 or not. One feature that was interesting was the interchangable sights on it. Instead of having different models with fixed or adjustable sights, they have 6 different sights, front and rear that are "adjusted" for windage and elevation. My early guess is that these are going to be a bit hit in Canada. The company is also currently working out plans to get holsters over here that also come with tales of super low price tags. The other interesting part is that the color variations that are to be offered are to match the colours in the Tango Down line, which should make some of you fashionistas happy being able to match and all. Really cool for a polymer handgun and nice to see some variation and interest in the Canadian market from our friends to the south. The company website details the firearm better then I and is very informative. Start harassing your dealers to make the connections now and get ahold of these because I assure you they will be flying.
