New handgun on deck for the Canadian market

Some of the spelling, grammar and punctuation skills shown on this site sometimes makes me wonder who should be making fun of who. I've never met an American yet that didn't know the words to the Star Spangled Banner or America the Beautiful as well as the Pledge of Allegiance by heart. At the same time I can't count on one hand the number of Canadian friends and relatives that know the bilingual lyrics of Oh Canada.

Funny thing, especially on this forum, is how American patriotism is a subject of ridicule yet Canadian patriotism is applauded to the fullest extent. Such as adding the Canadian flag to AR receivers or a moose or a beaver or any other distinctive Canadian symbol.

Sure, Americans may celebrate their patriotism louder than us stoic Canucks but pride in one's heriatge shouldn't be constrained by eletist attitudes.

Just a few observations to be noted concerning your own condemnation of the grammar and spelling errors exhibited by others on this site:

". . . makes me wonder who should be making fun of whom."

"Sure, Americans may celebrate their patriotism louder than we stoic Canadians, but pride in one's heritage shouldn't be constrained by elitist attitudes."

As well, a few commas would not hurt, especially when compiling any list, such as: ". . . The Star Spangled Banner, or America the Beautiful, as well as the Pledge of Allegiance."

Or: "Such as adding the Canadian flag to AR receivers, or a moose, or a beaver, or any other distinctive Canadian symbol."

Laugh2 . . . stop it . . . this is too much ....

I was going to use "whom" but observers of the language have been predicting the demise of "whom" from about 1870 down to the present day, so I didn't:p

"heritage" was definitely a typo (sometimes my left ring finger is too fast) so yes, I should have caught that as well as "elitist"

The use of "we" or "us" is a little harder to determine. The word "us" is an objective pronoun and in this case, by shortening the sentence, "Americans may celebrate their patriotism louder than "us" sounded better than "Americans may celebrate their patriotism louder than "we".

Using a comma with "or" in this case is considered a no-no. I wasn't using "or" as a coordinate conjunction because I wasn't joining two independent clauses and I certainly wasn't changing the direction of the sentence. If I had omitted the word "or" I would have used commas.

In any case, I'm not normally a grammar or spelling Nazi but I took exception to a poster's remark concerning the illiteracy of Americans in general.

Good idea, then they might actually know the words... but then again, they'd have to be able to READ in order to recite them.

"Condemnation"? Hardly. I'm sorry though that the point of my OP was not clear to you.

I wonder if they would do custom jobs? I'd love to get the words to "Nah Nah Hey Hey (Goodbye)"

I mean who doesn't like a little Bananarama once in a while? :dancingbanana:

Ohh, a commemorative version with Wendy and friends on the slide. That would be lovely.

I have absolutely no use for one of these I'm not into anything 9mm but that pink one would be a cool present for my wife.

For this price I'd be into getting a pink one for her.
