More added and more to come. Big week of shipping! Lot's of you got your ship notifications by this week. We look forward to clearing the rest of you soonest. We are taking tomorrow, Sunday off, then back to transfers and shipping on Monday.
We received hundreds of phone calls this week. Common questions were:
Q: I got my transfer. Did my firearm ship?
A: If you got your transfer, please do shoot it by email to
info@armseast.com. We are shipping oldest to newest orders as transfer are completed.
Note: email, please, rather than calling to ask. We'd really prefer this communication by email, because... the 5-10min conversation about your transfer will be happening with an staffer who would otherwise be shipping or transferring your purchase. We are working 14hr days in multiple offices to ship as many pistols to Canadians as is possible in the shortest amount of time.
Q:is the website inventory correct? Do you actually have this? "Company X" said they did, but didn't, etc. How long before the transfer starts? How long will my transfer take?
A: The Inventory is live. If you can order it, we have it. Everything we sell is on hand at one of our locations and is available to transfer immediately. When the transfer is completed by your provincial CFO your pistol will ship and you will receive your tracking info. If all info required for transfer is included at time of purchase, we are now about 2 days from order placed to transfer being initiated. We hope to catch that up to 24 hours this week. How long it will take to complete? Presently BC 3-4 weeks, AB, SK, MB 2-4 weeks, ON 5-? weeks, QC 2-5 (a few really quick ones there), NB/NS/PEI 1-2weeks, NL 1 week. Hopefully these times will come down. We don't sell what we don't have. We don't make promises we can't keep. We don't play games. We respect you, we hope you respect us. We treat our customers how we would want to be treated.
Q: Will I get a tracking number? Do you need a signature? Will people know this is a gun? I don't want my package left on my steps.
A: Yes, you will get emails from AEI and Canada Post containing your tracking info on the day your pistol ships. We ship Canada Post Expedited shipping. We require signature, and proof of age. CP should never leave it on your steps if you are not home to receive it. You will receive a door card to go pick up at your local CP outlet. The package does not contain any reference to firearms.
Q: Can you get me a certain firearm that you are not advertising?
A: Maybe.

Email us anyway at
info@armseast.com and tell us what you are looking for. Please do it by email. If we can't get it today, it doesn't mean we might not be able to get it later the week. If it does come up, we will contact you. We will NOT sell anything that we don't have or can't get. Ever.
Q: I don't want a demo or used firearm. Make sure mine is a new one.
A: Everything we sell is brand new, factory fresh and un-handled. We don't sell demo guns. If we do have to touch your firearms to ID it, we wear nitrile gloves, and we only handle it long enough to read the serial number.
Q: Will you send me the transfer reference number? Why didn't you send me the transfer number?
A: I'll admit we are not used to automatically sending transfer reference numbers with restricted sales. In 17 years selling restricted firearms and during the registry, NR firearms, it really had never been a question/thing. Rarely did a customer ever ask for it. With dealer sales, the customer doesn't have to call the CFO like with a private person-person transfer. Thus, contacting the customer to inform them of the transfer reference number has just not been a thing we routinely did. We understand most of our colleagues in the industry operate in a similar fashion. If we have an issue with info required for a transfer, we do contact you, as many many of you can attest to these past weeks. If you know we don't have some info required for the transfer, the preemptive emails are great and appreciated. Yes, please do email us your PAL. New to us is that many many customers are calling us after placing an order and asking for the transfer reference number. I also see posts on CGN with people complaining about retailers who haven't contacted them with their reference number in "X" days. I assume some people may wonder if if not being contacted with the number, indicates that the transfer wasn't initiated? In our case anyway, this would not be true, and I think we are batting 1000% for issuing the number when asked, assuming it's been more than 48 hours since purchase, and not 20 minutes since order (there have been many of these calls). When people ask, we always give it. THAT SAID! In the past week or so, we have started to email the transfer reference as part of our transfer workflow. We hope this is satisfactory. Not being contacted preemptively with your TR# is NOT an indication that we haven't initiated your transfer.
Hope that helps with some questions you might have before or after placing your order. We have lots of pistols on hand and more inbound constantly. Please keep checking our site for the latest offerings. We look forward to filling your orders for as long as is legally possible! We are handgun shooters, competitors and enthusiasts as well. We are all in this together. Thank you for trusting us with your business.
