Well that was easy. Rounds 22 to 26 from the new tube, load development done.

Nice! That makes me happy since the .308 barrel I've got coming from Insite is a Hardy as well, haha.

I think you will be very happy. This barrel is fast 46gr Varget chronied at 2915-2930fps in Lapua brass and I could go higher still.

Nice. I noticed that they have carbon fiber barrels. Has anyone shot one? Do they shoot well? I am looking for one for a 300wm hunting build. Does Hardy ship to Canada?

They shoot the same as the full steel barrels. Very nice carbon wrap and they ship to Canada but only to Insite as they are their exclusive dealer.

Further testing:

Shot a quick group at 300 yds the other day. The weather sucks right now (blows to be precise) and it has been quite windy. The vertical from 10 rounds looks excellent at 0.885”

I have no doubts that once the weather calms down shooting 1/2 moa 10 shot groups will be no problem. This load is getting 2890fps with an OAL of 2.885” which still leaves lots of room in the AW mags (max 2.980” ).

After 7 months of no shooting due to courses, fire bans, travel and a generally busy life, I hauled this rifle out of the safe today and hit the range.

Confirmed zero then shot for group at 300 and almost made the half moa club. 9 rounds went into 1.5" and I royally screwed up one trigger pull (2.6" group).

I am very happy I chose Insite to make me a barrel and the brake is awesome as well.

Very nice shooting and nice rifle too! Insite Arms sure builds great rifles, I have a Tikka with a Benchmark barrel chambered in 6XC from Harley and it shoots great too. Very impressed with their work!
