Im not offended at all. Im annoyed. I dont take anything on the internet too seriously but every once and a while I get the urge to point out the ignorance of others when it comes to common etiquette. If you were in my home and I showed you my gun (that sounds SUPER dirty) would you tell me you dont like it, get your gun and say "this is what a real gun looks like?". Not likely because in person most of us have manners. On the internet though, sadly, non are required. We all stand behind the excuse that "its the internet" but the truth is, no one really feels "good" about being on the other end of it. Instead of using that as excuse, why not just change your behaviour and live in a way that makes others feel better?

Now dont get me wrong. Im not sitting here upset. Im going to go to bed in a bit and this isnt going to linger in my mind for a second. But here I am, and here I think. I do know the vast majority will judge these comments even more harshly though. And thats o.k. Truth is, all it will do is highlight what ive said even further. But its the internet, so its completely acceptable.

In all reality I'd say it's not my cup of tea, but I sure wouldn't drag something out and use it to run yours down - I'm very well aware that we all have tastes that differ. You make a fantastic point about manners though, I guess we all expect less on the net than what we do face to face and that's probably not the most desirable way to approach things.

Good food for thought - maybe we should all chew slowly...

Man I know... You just get going and your out. A 10 round would be perfect. It would be rediculously huge but fun.
I'm really glad to hear others are have good long term experiences with these guns. It was a gamble to buy but seems like it was a good purchase in the end. I have a friend who just bought a 12.5 grizzly tube fed that he's got done up nicely with the parts I had in my first few pics. Looks great. I think the mag is pretty unique but its hard to go wrong with a 12 inch 12 gauge. It just looks mean no matter what you do.

rbygrave, what stock is that? Looks like a recoil reducing version. At first I thought I would need one but this gun doesnt kick has hard as my 18 inch 870 does. I like the heat shield. i wish the 12 ich models came with that.

Coming in peace. I thought Canadians weren't allowed to defend ourselves so how can we really have a HD gun?

If youve resigned yourself to the fact that youd rather properly defend your family in a bad situation and risk being in trouble yourself than NOT defend your family and possibly live without them, you certainly CAN defend yourself. And if anyone threatened my family, I WOULD defend them. Id rather sit in jail knowing my family is safe than sit in my empty house knowing there was something I could have done to protect them and didnt.

Thanks to our insulting and disgusting Canadian laws, a person who defends their family against an intruder in their own home has the tax dollars they paid used to treat and punish THEM like a criminal. Meanwhile we all pay BIG bucks for the actual criminal to get free defence. Its an embarrassing statement about our system, one of many. Im not sure the average Canadian agrees that a person should be able to come into your home and threaten the safety of your family without consequence but our legal system (and governing body) isnt about what the people believe anymore.

Easiest way NOT to get injured or killed in someone elses home is to NOT GO INTO SOMEONE ELSES HOME if your not invited. Why is that so hard for the liberals to understand. I dont want to hurt anyone, including a criminal. So it would be in both of our best interests if he or she just STAYED OUT OF MY HOME.... problem solved.

Thanks for the intelligent reply. I agree with you. It is hard for a newcomer to firearms to understand what is and isn't legal. Some of the writing in our criminal code is, well, hard to translate.

It the ATI, just a thick pad no buffer in the tube. Works good, feel the recoil a little shooting slugs, but my daughters shot it no problem. Bought it as a bear gun for ATVing. Mag feed was a requirement.

It's actually my 2nd post. Sorry I am not an expert like you. I am still learning.

I'm no expert, but I do know that when someone signs onto a firearm forum and their first post (or second :) ) is regarding the legalities of home defense, a lot of times it's a lefty digging for info. I'm not saying that this describes you, and I hope it doesn't, but we in the firearms community have to be aware that there are people in this country that don't want us to be able to OWN guns, never mind DEFEND ourselves.

So, if you are one of us that's new to all this, then I apologize for my comment and say "WELCOME TO CGN":dancingbanana:

^^ agreed. If your new and learning your like I was only 6 months or so ago. No shame in that.

I really like the AFG on a shotgun. That foregrip was on my Rem 870 and man could I rack that sucker fast. I now have a magpul forend and im trying to figure out how to put another AFG on it. I liked the fore end in the pics above but the side rails would dig into my hands really bad and rail covers didnt seem to fit... the rails are an odd shape. The magpul is really comfortable but having an AFG on it would be even better.
