New Henry Single Shot rifles

You work outside haida gwai frequently do you not?....... sounds like you aren't trying hard enough...... basic powders are available damn near everywhere........ excuses aren't reasons........

For sum reason they won't let you take powder on a greyhound or plane
The gun shop in Prince Rupert's been pretty good lately For powder at least it was before I left for this job that can change fast though

Totally agree. A Henry rolling block with octagonal barrel and a tang sight would really float my boat...

That was my first hope, but sadly not the case.

A sub $500 "Buffalo gun" would be a no brainer for me. I have looked at some "Sharpes" and Rolling block options but they have been to costly to buy for a childhood dream.

These Henry single shots must be an attempt to take advantage of the void left in the market when H+R shut down.
If this is the case, not a bad idea!!!

Their .410 lever's do look great. US$902 (US$850, carbine)

Can someone explain the allure of a lever 410?
I cannot grasp why someone would want one.

Have you seen how fast a 94/410 sells... and at what price?

Guys that love lever action rifles and hunt grouse and hares, get it... love it or hate it, I think Henry is onto something.

Being a huge Henry fan I'm all in on all of these but the .410 lever will by the first. For me that is one hell of a small game gun, treerats, rabbits, grouse, pests and yotes with slugs.. Can't ask for a more universal tool for me.

Price seems a little steep. If they don't offer multiple barrels and shotgun barrels then I don't see them going far. Especially at $450 US.

I just wish the henry lever guns would load on the side like a normal lever gun. not up the tube like a 22.

I have been a M94 fan for five decades, but in reality, tube loading is superior to gate loading for getting them in, but morso for getting them out... never been a deciding issue for me, one way or thhe other.

I don't agree... even at $619 CDN, they are a good option as a cast potatoe thumper... I have a brass .44 Mag on order... will assess before deciding on the .45/70.

I have been keen on a single shot .44 for ages but after hearing the many issues with the Handi's in .44 I stayed away (and could not find one in .357 Max in Canada or a .357 Mag SB2 for reaming).
I look forward to your opinion on the Henry .44 single shot

I had several Handi .44's and two .357 Mags that I reamed to .357 Maximum... they were all good shooters... you don't need to hesitate if you see one for sale.
