New HK45, any hit Canada yet?

Evening all,

This is mostly to HK enthusiasts, like me. Has anyone found a dealer that is getting thier hands on the new HK45? I know Questar was trying and I think TSE as well.

I think the big problem involves the magazine capacity... it's a question of whether or not someone down south is willing to neuter them. Either that, or HK makes 10-rounders for canuckians.

Unless I'm mistaken, 10 round magazines were a requirement for the US Army contract for which this pistol was made to compete ... I would think they should be available.

For the JCP program, the requirement was 8 round for a 'standard' magazine and a min of 10 rounds for 'high capacity' magazine for the same gun.

Actually, 10 rounds is the standard magazine capacity for HK45. No need to neuter anything.

I almost got my grips on one, but the dealer in the US sold the last one 30 minutes befor eI phoned him!

I'm pissed at myself for not picking up the phone sooner.

Well, I found another shop. There's one put aside with my name on it
