New HK45 Pics

what magazine was this from? That top one looks to be a variant 1 full size, bottom is looks to be LEM.
 
I didn't buy the Magazine, but I read the whole article:D

Looks as though two experienced gunsmiths/ competitive shooters consulted on the project called the "HK45".
Larry Vickers (.45 pistol smith), and I forget the other guys name, but he is a longtime IPSC shooter.
A few things were moved around on the pistol, make it better for recoil/balance, more reliable as well. The front of the pistol was covered in black residue from the number of rounds being shot out of it. I guess they tried making it jam, weak hand, on its side, upside down..... Good combat pistol. Might be the next US military sidearm.
 
Interesting that they have lowered the amount of texture on the grip...maybe they have finally made the grip less slippery with less texture. I think thats what really bugs me the most about my USP, is the lack of rubber or ability to easily change the grip. Maybe that crud colour looks better in real life.
