Hi Guys,

I just went today and bought a stainless and green Hogue stocked .270 chambered Ruger Hawkeye. :)

I sure like it. I haven't fired it yet, but it feels really good to the shoulder - and the trigger seems really quite good.

Anybody else got one of these?

Jeff/1911.

I picked up a Ruger MKII Hawkeye alweather in a 25-06. I love the trigger, sweet right out of the box. Thinking about changing the stock, but kind of falling for the fit of it's original tuppaware.

Hi Guys,

I finally got out to the range with my new Ruger .270 Hogue Hawkeye today. It's a shooter!

Group after group (3 shots - cold barrel) at 1/2" to 3/4" at 100 yards with Hornady Interlock 130 grain factory ammunition. The light Magnum 130 grain load is a bit looser, but still about 1 1/4" for 3 shots repeatedly.

I'm very happy with it, and the trigger is just fine by my standards. Bring on the Whitetails!

that's it...I'm going to get Jeff to buy all my rifles....I've never been able to pick a "1/2 to 3/4 MOA with factory ammo" rifle off a rack no matter how I tried....
