The "G" is the newer version with the battery bay on the side. The "A" has a battery bay on the bottom requiring you to remove it for replacement. With 50,000hr battery life, not sure that is really an issue lol

I forget where I read it, but there was a pretty good subjective comparison of 6 "economy" red dot sights and this one was one of the sights compared. If I can remember/find it, I'll add a link unless someone else beats me to it.

I think were getting to a point now where the technology has caught up and value brand optics are starting to really pull there weight.

Before it was spend $800-$1000 and get something that worked or spend $200 and get something ####ty. Now spend $200 and you have something that will fill all the roles and needs of a civilian shooter.
