New Hotness - BAR MK4 Medallion in 243

^^ I do like the Bars. My turn-off is the plastic release lever close to the trigger guard. It appeares to me as being very flimsy.

I thought that friends didn't let friends buy Browning rifles..... ?

;-)
I like the Browning guns that I have and at the time I wanted a Bar MK3. A local CT had one on sale and I went to check it out.

Very nice craftsmanship and nice wood on it, smooth action and nice metal works. The only two thing that I didn't like are the bolt release and mag latch release. They are made of plastic and while I think they function great out of the box I don't find them to be "robust". That's just my opinion and I might be wrong about it and it proves itself in the field, idk. I'm waiting on the Bar DBM to hit the Canadian market...

I have a bolt action .243 which I use for deer/black bear. I use shelf ammo, Federal Premium 85 grains TSX for that. Tried different factory loads while sighting it in and that one hit the sweet spot in terms of accuracy.

Cannot comment on cycling it through a semi. Shouldn't be a problem, IMO...
