New hunter is looking for the useful advice about the small game hunting

Hi, Guys:
I just got my hunter license and the firearm license in Vancouver, really want to know where can start my hunting life.
Could you guys give me some advice where can hunt the small game,like Rabbit or Chicken in 1 or 2 days trip?

Not sure if you have rabbits or hares over on the far coast, but in this thread there was lots of info people shared on looking for hares, which would probably transfer over to rabbits to a certain extent.

if you do get some rabbits, do not waste them doing them up in shake'n'bake, like I did when I hunted rabbits many many decades ago. They just don't turn out like chicken. I'm not much of a stew fan, so I never did find a good way to cook rabbit.
