New Hunter questions

Savage are good to go. 30/06 is good to go. You can buy cheap ammo for practice and keep the brass do when you reload. For reloading you can use something like a 168gr tsx and again, you are good to go. Enjoy the woods and enjoy the harvest. Good luck!

Now that you are getting an"06" (good choice), get a past recoil pad. It fits over your shoulder and makes shooting better. Practice with the 22 is very good idea with time well spent. Having someone watch you shoot & giving pointers will go a long way toward better shooting style. Just make sure the person watching knows what he is doing. Lastly a pasture walk with the 22 shooting gophers will help too. Good luck. AJ
