...in the making.:)

Our little boy was born on October 21. I already bought him a pair of Browning hunting boots...when my wife was 6 months pregnant.

Anyways, although these times are fun, I am looking forward to finding him a nice little .22, and maybe a .410 for plinking. Perhaps I should wait at least until he can stand.

Oh wow! Congrats Kristian!
Nothing compares with the feeling of being a new parent and by the looks of it you're doing a great job getting him used to the "surroundings". LOL

He looks great. I love how he's pulling at that dogs cheek, showing him whose boss!

He will need a rifle too. I know I can count on you to get him started on a classic. Hmmm, but which one??????

Congrats! I hope you enjoy many hours of hunting, camping etc, when he is old enough! My wife and I are having our second baby in Febuary, the first little one will be 2 years old on Thursday! Like you, I can't wait for the day when they are old enough to take out hunting, camping, or even just out to the gun club for a day of fun!..I have yet to buy them any hunting boots though! LOL! Cheers!

Yup I have seen the little one in person and he is strong!!! When it comes time to pack a moose out I will be calling my little nephew to come and help me!!! Congrats again Bro!!:D

Congrats! You'll have a fine partner there.Mine is now 26 and I get to borrow his truck, guns, boat and drink his beer for a change. He has a strong back and can drag the moose out.How about a camo sleeper for the little guy while you're waiting for him to grow into his Brownings?

Congrats.

I have two hunting buddies in the growing. :D See my avatar.

Yeah, I am guilty too of buying some gear early for the older one (6 now), hoping he'll catch the shooting bug. A little early, I'd say.

Enjoy him while he's a baby. That stage passes way too quickly.

Me too! One more Brno rifle and there's enough for each one in my clan to pack heat in the fall, or not in the fall!:D

Congradulations Kristian. Feed him well - I've got a beauty BRNO model 3 that should fit the bill once he grows quite a bit :D

So when the hell did you move to PG  You were in Victoria no?

what you doing stopping at a partner when you can come up with an entire camp:p congrats on your newest member of your family

Why wait till he can stand to start buying him guns? When my wife was pregnant she had an amneosentesis (not sure of the spelling) which told, among other things, that it was to be a boy. I went right out and ordered an anschutz junior 22. He started at the range when he was 4. When he was 10, I had the stock shortened on a remington model 7 in 308 and made up some loads with 110 grain hornadys with just enough powder to get them to the paper and make a hole. The next spring, when he was 11, I loaded it up with federal high energy loads and he shot a 410 lb, 20" record book black bear. That fall he shot a moose at 300 yards and a modest mule deer at about 30 yards. A couple of elk, mulies and moose later, he is now 16, in grade 11 and I jumped the gun again and bought his graduation present. Its a Sako stainless synthetic model 75 in 338 win mag. It's never to early for quality time and it doesn't get any better than hunting with Dad.

Thanks for the kind notes.

Darryl - Smooth Hair Fox Terrier? Nice looking little pup!

Salty - I left Victoria in August. Though I'd get more hunting in up here...:(

Luckily I can't afford firearms right now...if I did I'd buy a safe full for him. Starting off with a custom Model 7 in .250-3000, and then a.....
