New hunting regs released Ontario 2022

The 2022 Hunting Regulations Summary is now online.

The annual hunting guide, which summarizes the rules and regulations for hunting in the province, was released on Friday, April 1.

The document, which can now be downloaded as a .PDF, provides information about hunting licences and fees, as well as up-to-date regulations and seasons for each game species in the province. Printed copies will be distributed to participating ServiceOntario locations and licence issuers the week of April 4.

2022 draw deadlines
Moose: May 2 and July 7
Elk: June 10
Antlerless deer: June 30
Controlled deer: August 31

They sure are. I won’t be due for a while where I want to hunt, but my dad should be good to go in a year or two.

When I started moose hunting, we didn't have a choice on what ### and/or age we shot. It was bulls only for all. Ah, those were the days!

Needed 9 points for a bull in the area my group hunts and I am at 7. Might have a chance if they cleared out all the high point people this past year.
