so for months ...... well okay over a year, I have been endeavoring to bring you this mount option for the currently availlable UTG/Leapers Tri rail M14 handgaurd. Today I'm ready to show you the first glimpse.
The pictures are a little evasive on purpose and i'll be getting clear , direct views of all features on camera shortly.

This is the working final prototype and the whole process is waiting for me to say GO. Shown here in the pics below sporting a Leupold Tactical Prismatic , illuminated etched recticle 1x with red dot.
This unit gives you 11 useable 1913 picatinny slots from the back end of your UTG tri rail, to the stripper clip guide dovetail.
It mechanically fastens in a rock solid fashion to the UTG at the front (detail not shown) and locks to the stripper clip receiver dovetail via a key similar to those found on other mounting options.
This mount accessory is NOT designed as an airsoft part. It is constructed of quality hardened steel, and will come in a matte black finish to blend well with the anodizing of the UTG.
It will also feature a sight groove so as to continue the same front sight groove on the UTG (not shown on this one).
As these are being made in Canada using top shelf CNC methods, these will not be a "cheap" part. I am still working on pricing and price, is directly affected by how many i have made this first run. While everyone says..... oh you'll sell tonnes of those hehehe , I want to truly see what kind of interest there is for this item if it's around the 100.00 ballpark.

so here are the pics I'm prepared to show ...... Let's hear from everyone. I will compile a list of "hell yes's" , No preorder commitments, I am just looking for a general idea of whether to run 50 or more than 50 units the first time around. Dealer enquries are welcome too.

Doc, are you gonna offer this as part of a full tuning package along with the UTG rail?

I have considered it.
but i am not currently a leapers dealer and truthfully with all that's on my plate in the coming months...... being a product dealer will be limited to products coming out of my shop, rather than carrying lines of other folks stuff. Lot's of retail/website online ordering type competition there already, ie:fabsports, marstar, canadaammo, and many of our fine dealers on CGN.
At this time I have NO plans on having a large product laden online shopping website. I am concentrating on my own, unique line of products and custom rifle builds/accurizing services. Trying to be something for everyone is a path i'm not going down again hehehehe well, not any time soon anyways

it should be noted that dealing with tolerances between one chinese product and mating it with another chinese product...... and bringing it together cleanly and effectively with a Canadian made product.... has not been without it's challenges ;)
But this unit will be a NO MODIFICATIONS , user install accessory
here's a couple more pics i just took with my crappy 22 scope thrown on for effect.
and some of you may or may not have noticed the knights armament RAS sitting in the photos......... i am working on version 2 which will be compatable with the KAC ;)

Out of curiosity, what is the forward mounting point? It *looks* at first glance that there may be a thin collar around the receiver face?

nope......
and all will be revealed after i move and do my full photo spread and video of the unit being installed and used. I don't see too many guys jumping up and saying ...hey I'll probably or might take one.......
and unless i see that show of hands...... I might just make them only for me and my friends hehehehe. I can stop production with a phone call ;)

I "won't" bring a crappy product to market either....... if I release this item, KNOW that it WILL work as advertised ;) providing a rock solid mounting platform from the affordable UTG tri rail to the rear stripper clip guide dovetail.

Do you need a UTG rail to make this mount work, or can it work with a normal handguard as well as an alternative to the ARMS mount?

as stated above: "if I release this item, KNOW that it WILL work as advertised providing a rock solid mounting platform from the affordable "UTG tri rail" to the rear stripper clip guide dovetail."
I am also near completion of the the version to span to the KAC m14-RAS
and then the cnc program for the one that runs forward and engages the Ultimak :D
and then........

each one is proprietory to the aftermarket handguard accessory you use, but you will need an aftermarket handguard accessory..... and this one is proprietory to the UTG/Leapers M14 tri rail.

I would be intersted any idea of a ballpark price?

i am endeavoring to keep this in the 100.00 ballpark, but it's going to depend on how many i make. I have to pay people, cash money up front to make a minimum of 50.00 , and this is but one of my projects that i am shovelling what finances I have into.
I look at it this way.
for 200.00 n change, you can get a quality standard mount ie... ARMS
for 500.00 n change (?) you can get a troy battle rail or for more a KAC RAS

so.......
the UTG averages 100.00 n change
and this mount i have will run 100.00 n change.......
so, if you can get the two combined and not need any other mounting system...... say for under 300.00 including our dreadful taxes........ it's all gravy

Great!
Now, after I just spent a fortune on a LaRue scope mount to work around this issue. Now I see that some one is going to be making 1 of these mount's to over come this issue & for alot cheaper than the mount I paid for.
:owned:
What's the ETA on these puppy's for going into production?

Hey Thomas, like I said before, I need one of these to finish my project. So put TWO aside for me as soon as you get them made. Now quit lurking around the internet and get busy on my stock. Pretty please.;)
