New IPSC rules interpretations: Fibreoptic OK on PD guns.

anti glare? you mean like virtually every combat pistol out there with a flat parkerized or nitriled coating ect? HK, Walter, Glock, SIG. Seriously is somebody wants to chrome or nickel their gun, its gonna add weight not take away. I just dont see a coating being beneficial for other than asthetics for a slide.

So If I had say a FO site but I needed to brase in the front dovetail hole a small bit to tap it for the FO site screw would I screw myself as the brasing being an actual mod to the gun?

Moe

Ok so considering that brasing could be interpreted as modifiing the slide I had the gunsmith just epoxy the site on. It held with me hosing 100rds through it. had the gun hot enough that I could not hold the slide. Site held. I'm good.

Now what color fiber? What size? I have green and orange in 3 sizes each.

Moe

green is aparently what humans eyes will pick up easier, however, knowing your toys, I would put a red fibre optic in the front, it will be on par with transitioning using a red dot on the AR 15. personal preference though.
