So I ordered a su-16f. Got it today. Overall I gotta say I'm pretty impressed with the looks and feel o it. Some may say the fact that its like 90% polymer makes it a toy but I say no. Yes the two mags it comes with (5/20) are also polymer and feel a little flimsy. We will see over time. It's light as hell. Bought as much as my ruger 10/22 w/ scope and looks awesome.

One thig I will say though is the built in bipod in he fore stock is cheesy. If kel tec put a locking mechanism into it it would be 100% better but it folds back on the slightest bump so kinda useles. Was planning on putting a dif fore grip on anyway so no issue.

The two
Mags it comes with do NOT fit in the stock. Aparently u have to buys he 5/5 from kel tec in order to fit. Again not an issue for me as I don't care.

Overall a nice looking entry level modular battle rifle that I can't wait to shoot and see how it performs! Will have a range update after this weekend!

Yes indeed. What came before and after this phrase is lost as it's ridiculousness overpowers all. Not trying to offend you but that rifle is just a plinking rifle. Why try to link battle and fighting with any firearm? It is a tool for hunting or a recreational toy. Too many fantasy/first person shooter game based perspectives on here.

Having said all that, I like the SU-16. It is light and will be a nice rifle for taking into the woods to hunt with if it shoots straight that is to say. Just don't dress up in the latest genuine multi-cam uniform while plinking in the woods. You will really seem ridiculous at that point, lol :)
Looking forward to hearing how your rifle shoots. It is an interesting design by a Swede.

I have all the NR Kel Tec rifles except the SU22 and have never had an issue with any of them. "Modular Battle Rifle"??? not quite, but a fun little plinker and a great entry level rifle that takes lar mags. Just curious...Where did you order it from? I notice your in Surrey you could have just jumped across the bridge and grabbed one at Wanstalls.

"...entry level modular battle rifle..." Keltecs are not and never will be a battle rifle of any kind. They are considered to be very low end kit though.

I had the receiver on mine crack after 60 rounds. Vault sent me another one, not sure if I am going to keep it or sell. I did really enjoy shooting it before the breakage.

I have one and it works, but it's quite cheap. I will eventually sell it to get something better when I have more money.
Oh technically it works..... it goes bang and I can hit maybe 4 moa with irons at 100 yards....

I enjoy mine every chance I get. Non restricted, takes AR mags, cheap ammo, light as hell. Oh and did I mention non restricted? People can compare it to an AR when they can meet me at the local shooting pit to do so :p Even when I get my first AR, the SU-16 wont be leaving my collection.

A guy at the local range last weekend was shooting his SU16 for the first time and the whole back of the receiver broke off ??!! Catastrophic failure in under 100 rounds fired , he was choked .. I wonder how common this failure is?

Yea unfortunately that happened also to me when I had one more than a year ago. Though it was after 300-400 rounds. Vault replaced it without much fuss and I traded it off. As much as I liked its other attributes and the fact it was NR, seeing that happen did not give me confidence.

LOL, talk to a lot of people who have to deal with Vault and life time warranty. If I was in the US, first off the gun would be half the cost and you'd be dealing with the manufacture not an importer.

Are you saying vault will not honour the warranty?

According to keltec its lifetime, even in the manual you get with the su-16 in Canada.

I paid $460 for my su-16 so the price dont bother me.
