Hi, has anybody bought and tried the new Lapua .22 ammo? Specifically, x-act or Midas+. I have a couple of rifles that shoot best with the old Midas L, and was wondering how the new ones compare. Knowing Lapua, quality will be excellent. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet, and order some to see what shoots best.

I had the chance to test many lots earlier this winter in two of my Anschütz. Overall, very good accuracy but extremely expensive ammo. Fortunately for me, the best average I got was with a lot of Center-X which is the cheapest of the 3 grades. In my Hart barreled 54, it averaged 14.5mm which is good but not spectacular.
A shooter I know sent his Anschütz in Germany for batch testing at the Lapua factory. Curiously, a lot of Center-X was also the most accurate ammo in his 54.
