New Leather for an Old Gun

I've bought "off the rack" leather before, and "semi-custom" stuff from El Paso, but I decided to try something different and got a custom rig done up by RedDog Leather (has an Ebay store with some styles but will also make whatever you want). VERY impressed. Got it fitted for my S&W New Model #3 - fits like a glove, flared opening for easy holstering, lined, and quite thick and stiff. Belt is lined with suede (I believe) - quite soft and wears nice. Overall well worth the money.

That would be the Rig i need for my Orignal Antique 45 Schofield as its Orignal Barrel length is 7.5 so i need a cross draw.

The full rig was $225 - not sure what just the belt would run. Standard plain ranger belts run $105 from him but I had some border stamping added to match the holster.

Very nice! Enjoyed those photos. The cross draw position works best for me, especially with those longer barreled sixguns.

The trigger is not covered, is that a problem for using it at ranges and action shooting sports?

The quality looks really nice.

With the hammer down on a single action, the open trigger is no safety issue.

Nice leather. I recently had a nice rig made by a gentleman in Florida for my Colt.
