Anyone else got one? I just got it yesterday in the mail and I have to say, if you don’t mind tinkering a bit to set it up like most of Lee’s products, it’s really nice!

I sized a bunch of cast bullets, deprimed and swaged a couple hundred 308 brass all in record time. Prior to this I would use my Classic Cast exclusively for these jobs. The RCBS swager is not the easyiest way to remove the crimps on brass. I’ve been using a drill and countersink bit but still find this Lee quicker. The larger the lot the more time the APP can save you.

Im really happy with it for $110 plus the swager kit for $50.

Edit - you can use your old Lee bullet sizers with it. I actually bought the APP duplicates in the cals I use most without knowing the old kits work great.

Also a nifty feature I didn’t mention is the catch container threads match the Hodgdon and Acurate Arms containers. Don’t thrown them away!

Yes, i normally get all my Lee stuff through Higginson. They have an incredible amount of stock on hand. Very seldom do you havecto wait for them to order anything, even on quite obscure items.

I have to admit when I first saw the APP I didn't know how it fit in really in. But I guess thats because i don't swage bullets or swage military brass. I can see how it would be great for those jobs.

While a bit fiddly at the start to get set up, it can really process the brass quickly.

I didn't want to get the factory bottle dirtied up with primers, so I taped an empty vitamin bottle to the bottom to catch them.
I'll save the factory bottle for sizing my powder coated bullets.

I don't bother loading the case tube every 20 cases or so. I just pop each case into the opening with my left hand and crank with the right.
Much quicker when you get a smooth rythym.

I think this press will become just the thing for beginning pistol shooters, who can't afford the big bucks for a Dillon and only shoot a couple of hundred rounds per month.

I wouldn't say that. This kinda interested me, because I like to speed up processing brass for cleaning. That doesn't gum up my progressive, and faster than using my turret.

I’m inclined to agree that this would be high on my list of recommendations to new reloaders. If they’re only planing on reloading up to 308 sized rifle rounds and smaller, it’s hard to not see the amazing value of the APP. Single stage for simple slow beginning and add the deluxe kit when they’re comfortable to speed things up a bit.

Here’s my low tech solution to feeding large rifle brass.

I just grab as many brass buy the necks as I can and toss em in the funnel roughly bottom down. They fill up the tube which acts as a buffer and I can easily load brass faster than I run the press. Huge time savor for me.

I got Mine at X-Reload back in January i use it to deprime 9mm brass before they go into the wet tumbler.
super fast if you add the collator.
can probably do anywhere between 300 to 400 hundred in an hour.
great little press.
the primer pocket swagging for .223 is hard to set up but once you get it right, it's 3 times faster than anything else ive tried.

Another great use for this press is if your a bullet caster you can quickly flare the cases mouths prior to charging and bullet placement.

For rifle rounds I typically use my Classic cast to size and prime at the same time. Now I take those and flare in the APP. Works great, saves some time, and it’s just plain fun to do!
