new Lee sizing press

Saw this on castboolit site. Looks interesting but it would be nice to see a video of it in action.

My impression is that it will be great for sizing bullets and a few other operations but I'm skeptical about it doing everything well. Quite reasonably priced though so I'm sure lots of people will best trying it out soon.

Interesting. I'm not sure I'm going to swallow their coolaid tho for two reasons. if you have to load the bullets one at a time until the tube is full I can't see an advantage in speed over feeding one at a time into any other press. the second reason is that, in my experience good bullet sizing requires a "finger feel" for aligning the base with the die & the nose pusher all at the same time, might not be of importance for short range handgun slugs but if your sizing rifle slugs for long range the automation might not give us the quality we require...just my thoughts from "first glance".

The mouth of the die has a chamfer on it which helps to guide the bullets into the sizer. As long as you place the bullet reasonably centered on the ram the bullets enter the die without issue. I agree you would have to use extra care with long, slender rifle bullets. I use the Lee bullet sizing system for handgun bullets and it works really well.

I mounted an old Lee sizing press upside down and went to an NOE size die and bushings.
NOE is the way to go for sizing bullets. Some folk mount the NOE as per instructions, I got creative and mounted the NOE size die upside down and put the bushing in the opposite end. gravity holds it in and it seems to work smoother .
