The pistol caliber lever guns are becoming more popular. Aside from the mainstream manufactures we see names like Morrison, Canuck & Chiappa. I woulf be interested in hearing comments on these three. I have the Chiappa O/U 22/410 and am very happy with it. Historical posts are not kind to Chiappa. Anyone have some new personal experience with Chiappa and the other two mentioned. Personal experience not so much "I heard from a friend whose cousin owned one"

My favorite is my Henry Supreme in 5.56. Buttery smooth, detachable mags and you can dress it up with alot of aftermarket parts if you so desire.

I know it's not a pistol caliber but it's worth mentioning.

My experience with Chiappa lever actions is limited to their 22s I had 2 of them. neither were as smooth as a henry and neither were dinnerplate accurate at 25 yards.
In this day and age when the prices between the good stuff and everything else seems to be narrowing I'd try to find a used rifle from a more reputable brand.
I have "Remlin" in 357 that was very rough (sharp edges, not smooth) when I purchased it but most people who shot it have loved it.
I've one of my friends has a Henry in 357 and it is a very nice gun to shoot.
 
I’ve owned a couple Rossi 92s and enjoyed them. The Casull was a stomper but fun. The 45 colt I still have and a load that shoots well. No Chiappa here.

I have a Morrison Timberwolf stainless 357 magnum lever action rifle. It is reliable and accurate to 25 meters at my indoor range after 50 to 75 rounds. No issues so far. I love it ❤️
 
after working on a few Chiapa's over the years, my comment on them would be "they are sort of what Forest Gump was referencing when he made the "box-o-chocolates" comment...you never know what is coming out of the box.
Chiapa's were built by "cottage industry" in the north of Italy...parts made in several small town one-man manufacturing shops and then assembled the same way so actual "quality control" varied from gun to gun...some are very good and I've seen others that are beyond hope of redemption.
 
Have seen where a couple Cdn vendors have gone all-in on the Canuck rifles, and are posting good reviews
might have to take a look. The 'Jurassic' is a catchy one.
Hurts to pay the newer inflated prices, but theres no going back....
 
I still have 2 Chiappa lever guns, a 44 mag and a 357
Bought both of them used, one from a shop and one from the EE
Both of them shoot, cycle and eject just fine
Had a 45 colt one but sold it
It initially had cycling issues but once that got fixed it never missed a beat
They all had nice case hardening and nice wood on them
