New Lilja Barrel

Well, things are all starting to fall into place nicely!! My New Lilja EPS Match barrel for my Remington 504 just arrived. Now to install and headspace it and then.......we'll see how she shoots. The original barrel was about a ¾" grouper at 50 meters, which isn't good enough for me. Lilja claims these should shoot in the .2's or better, so we will shortly know. Regards, Eagleye.

It will be very interesting to see how that works out with the 504. did you get the drop in 504 barrel and get them to put a EPS type chamber in? Sounds like a good way to go!

I always liked the look and feel of the 504. Too bad they were hit or miss in accuracy. I hope she works out for you, but is the barrel stainless or blued?

I have one on my Sako. I found some standard velocity 22 ammo too tight to chamber causing extraction problems. Loves EPS though (duh!). 10 rd groups / 100 yard groups just under an inch with practice EPS stuff and only a little better with the match.

Yes it is a drop-in barrel with the EPS match chamber. 21", sporter contour. Looks great, and pretty well exactly replaces the factory barrel. Easy install as long as you have the headspace gauge.

The barrrel is stainless steel, and nicely polished (not too shiny, just right) maybe some pictures shortly.

Cost shipped to me was $430.00. Got it from Shooter's Trading Post in Port Dover Ontario. Regards, Eagleye.

I remember now it was the gunsmith in 6br.com I spoke to that is doing those special coned breech chambers who said be careful not to overtighten as he fixes quite a few when you get carried away.

not a bad price, any reason not to go with the lilja dealer in bc or alberta, just curious.

not cheap but a nice gun for the price, they were about 900 when stores had them 2 years ago

just a thought for those drooling


and no supporters should be upset as it is my understanding no dealers in canada have them and will not order them for less
