Looks good! I refinished mine last summer and it looks EXACTLY like yours. I just used some chemical paint stripper, scrapped of the crud and steel wooled the wood. After that I used some thinners to clean it, Sanded with some 220 then a few coats of the same ebony minwax and then an outdoor-type varnish, with light 220 sandings inbetween, 3 coats. It looks so much like yours, I thought you snuck into my garage to take pictures of it.

I've got 2 Russians, One plain, and the other laminated. Was thinking of doing the straight wood one with Minwax Jacobean stain. Thought it might look Funky.
