Hey guys, picked up a norc m14 a couple weeks ago and have a few issues with it first the front sight is WAY off looks like the whole front sight/flashhider was put on crooked? and the op-rod makes contact with the barrel of the gun. I had to file off a bunch of material from the "hump" in the barrel to make the action work smoothly, and it still isnt perfect. Are these common issues? how do I remedy them? Also, looking for a scope mount ARMS18 always seems to come up, but are there any other good ones I should look at?

....leave the file alone.....What you have to do is to read all the stickies...use the search engine and look up barrel indexing....CGN is full of information and tips on your rifle.....after you are done all the reading ...shoot the crap out of it to see what ammo it likes.....federal powershock in a blue box in 150 grain works great in mine (rebate special on ammo from them presently)...Attend one of Hungrys rifle clinics as it is only 35 bucks and you will learn alot and get to do some work to your rifle yourself...you are in luck as he is taking names for a couple clinics now....ottawa clinic later this winter....Welcome to your newest addiction...Well OK mine...lol
