im thinking of picking 1 up i was just checking to see if anyone had got 1 yet & what it was like? The chinese quality can vary a lot in my experience. Im interested in the latest batch from marstar, i know the have a good warranty but i just want some feedback..........thanx
 
I tore mine down last night, and other than a bit of rough machining (non visible) they look pretty good.

Going to take some pics and break out the calipers tonight.
 
Given that the M14 is unrefined 1950's era technology, the Chinese do a decent job of it.

I have no issues with my M305.

...I wouldn't have the same trust in their copy of a modern rifle.
 
I'd say look at how many have been sold (LOTS) vs how many problems have been reported (not much?).

It has a warranty which is easily honoured, buy with confidence.
 
ok i ordered 1,but only 1 for now,I know all too well how this can easily turn into a "full bore" addiction, a quest for accessories many times the value of the gun,endless hours of fine tuning & tweaking to get that last bit of accuracy,hours on the forums.What the hell, so it starts.I had a real m14 back in the olden days when we were allowed full auto conversions,but had to sell it when they were changing the laws. I also got addicted to the SKS's & now im paying the price with overcrowded safes,my reasoning was always"but they are a really good deal" & so is the ammo.I will let you know how mine looks when i get it & im attending the wet coast support group to learn more, I think its great to have all the support & help from everyone........thanx
