So although this mount was designed for the VZ 58, I think that there's another use for this mount from NEA. For those of you with top rails on your M14's I think that this mount would be quite useful spanning rearward over the receiver then scoping. It may even mount on to those single pic sections that replace the stripper clip guide.

What do you think? .. Wish I still had my M1A to give it a whirl.

Would the rail sit higher or lower than "convention" receiver mounts?

Don't know to be honest. It adds 22mm of height to whatever it is based off of. So you'd need to measure from the top of a forward rail up 22mm and compare to a conventional mount. I would think that it'd be fairly close.

For anybody who has a FAB Sport's stripper clip rail and want to use a scope instead of a short dot or span to the front rail set-up this is the way to go.

Or if you got a UTG rail you could get this bad boy and flip it back wards and boom. You know can get a regular scope on a front rail set-up.
Cool gadget. Possibilities seem end-less.
