New M14s coming in the mail

I saw the card in mail slot and felt like running to the mail counter but I played it cool. Inside I was jumping up and down even let my kid get an icecream. "Get in the car kid dad needs to get home".
It was packed in medium weight motor oil, a liberal but not too much. Six blue shop towels and it was stripped, cleaned, greased. Forgot to clean the oil out of the gas assembly so I can go down and field strip it again
Frontier Firearms strikes again. I have always gotten great service with them.
The cleaning kit is included in the butt and the synthetic stock is ok. I think the sights are good. The only cheap thing on it is the upper stock over the barrel its cheap plastic but for less than 500 delivered to the door taxes in... I feel pretty happy.
I just hope I can get to the range. Pics to follow. Next week I should get another mag and the arms#18. This week cheap ammo and stripper clips.
Now to pick a scope. 3200 10x damn more thinking.

Winchester Ball 147 grain got me this;
100 Meter's @ Poco range with a Vortex Viper 3 to 9 power sitting on a ARMS #18 mount after it was doctorized.

Everything was stock just got the M14Doctor to give it the full NM treatment.
Since you live out east try to attend a Hungry clinic or atleast watch SckullBoy & him recorded clinic to get you familar on what you can do to make these rifle's "PING"!

Going to get new case and cable lock tomorrow along with some cheap 308 until my 7.62x51 brass gets to me.
Shoot it till my #### falls off.

Try some Federal Ammo in the Blue Box....150 grain powershock...works well in mine as well as alot of other m-14,s
Federal has a rebate on ammo now as well....and then shoot the crap out of it to find what ammo works best

Lebaron had Remington UMC 150 FMJs for 18.13 for 20 i think. I use 55/5.56 in my AR and i think they are ok. Shoots better than Winchester black box in mine.
