Now you've done it, just a matter of time and you will be trolling for a model 96. Appears to be a nice Husky. Bill.

Yep. Just the opposite for me. I bought an m/96 and would love to have a 38.

Hey, primus - do all the numbers match? My 96 almost matches, except for the front bayo band.

Beauty rifle, man. And Les Claypool rules...

Beautiful looking rifle Primus. If you're interested in contributing, take a look at the Milsurp Knowledge Base at the top of the page. That Swede looks like it would be an excellent addition.

You can pm BadgerDog or me for more info.

I'm not too sure if all the numbers match, all the numbers I could find match but some parts don't have numbers, but they have a crown stamped on them, and the number on the bolt looks like it was electro penciled on so I don't know what that means.

I know that rifle!:) :D The bolt matches to the reciever ,it is the bolt shroud and the cocking piece that are electro penciled ##'s, they all seem to have that, I have yet to see one ( husky ) that has factory placed numbers. That is one clean rifle!!!!!! I was also told that only 1000 huskies were made in that year.

+1 .......... :)

A very nice example of a M38 Swedish short rifle mfg by Husqvarna.

The EP'd safety and cocking piece components are pretty normal for Husqvarna rifles. They were done at the factory that way. The actual EP style generally looks the same. There were some examples of them being "stamped" like other parts, but it is less common than seeing the EP'd ones. It's perfectly correct.... :)

Badger
