New Magazine for the M14

I talked to a Canadian parts manufacture that is a bit on the lazy side about this AIA mag scenario. He was thinking about making some AIA mag's maybe with the chrome followers but unfortunately he doesn't think there would be that much demand.
Oh ya Different did they say what the hold up was? Is it the extreme heat caused buy a 100 rounds of 308 going off or was it the design?

I am reasonable sure that if he brought 20rnd AIA mags to market, they would sell like hotcakes. Just make sure that they have "AIA ENFIELD - BOLT ACTION" stamped on the side in big letters. Ideally they would be in the 30-40 dollar range, but I would pay more than that. I would just buy fewer.

Beta-C mags per reports I've read from troops issued them half way around the world showed how they were unreliable to start with in 5.56mm NATO. I doubt the 7.62mm NATO will be prefect unless they changed something since due to the reports that are floating around about them.

Whose buying it for reliability? This is all about the "cool" factor.:ar15: Can't imagine you'd use it on a regular basis, just drag it out once in a while.

BTW, a 200 round battle pack weighs in at 11 pounds on my bathroom scale so you are only talking about 5.5 pounds extra on a 12 to 14 pound rifle. Not as bad as one might think.

If I'm going to dish out that kind of money I'd expect it to work in any condition I decide to put it in that the comparable product for cheaper would do.
