The STR and ACS-L are really kind of the same thing. I would have rather seen the STR with the cheek weld like the CTR and storage like the ACS, but that's just me. This is still my preferred setup for a mil-spec CTR.

Yes, and it happens all to frequently when adjusting a snug-fitting mil-spec CTR (Yelp!). That is a LaRue RISR - which only works on mil-spec CTR or MOE stocks. It's designed to retract with the charging handle, so it's really the only setup that works for the AR. This is my little beasty.
I've since changed the optic and finished the rail panels/accessories, but the first image gives you a better view of the CTR and RISR.

Daaammnn that's nice! But LaRue? *sigh*....more unobtanium...I'll add it to my wish list with the LaRue Trijicon Acog QD mount just below finding a pot of gold *with* the leprechaun!

Does your LaRue RISR interfere with charging in any way? I had to take mine off as it wouldn't allow the bolt carrier back far enough and I was getting FTFs.
