So what's the deal with new ( with in the last year) marlins? They still have all the problems or have they finally got rid of the remlin?

I would like to here from first hand experiences. Not you friends brothers uncles second cousin had a crappy one. LOL

The one I bought last year was complete junk. The one they sent me this year to replace it is just about perfect.

From my recent experiences, the "last year's models" in some stores have cosmetic issues, but are excellent mechanically. Very well constructed in terms of tolerances and specifications (bolt headspace, tight fitting parts).

The brand new models I have seen are much better. Sights are straight, wood fits nicer. The edges are still a little sharp for my liking, but what'd you expect for $480.
