Recieved this gun last night as a graduation gift. I haven't graduated yet though, so if I don't I'll have to give it back 
Marlin 917V 17HMR. and came with a Bushnell Banner 3.5-10x36 scope. Seems pretty nice! Friggin heavy though! I'm going to need a bipod pretty soon I think. Anyone know where to buy a decent one?
Haven't shot it yet. Read a bunch of reviews though and saw a comparison of the savage 93 and ruger bolt action, and apparently the marlin shot better out of the box than thr others. If is shoots better than my dad's Savage, well...that'll be better than I can shoot it Got 2 boxes of winchester 20 grainers, but I might have to wait till spring to get to the range
