Good day Dante's, what category does this rifle fall under, NR/R?. And would you have LOP measurements. From trigger to butt stock end. Thanking you in advance for your time and consideration.

These will have a non-restricted classification. At the moment, we only have info on the overall length which is 34.5" for both models. We'll try to get info on LOP. Thanks!

Ty for the response Dante's, I appreciate the 411 and any additional measurements you can provide. I know these are special order, but if you find yourselves with one in the showroom please post as I would drive out to get a feel for the firearm. Happy FD! :)

What's the point of hardwood if it's painted?

Why not synthetic?

Looks like they had a ton of blemished/####ty wood and decided to paint it and sell it at a premium.

God damnit, I can’t believe Marlin isn’t offering these in calibers that no one would want! Like 44-60 Peabody, 14-222, 300 Sherwood, or 2.7mm Kolbri Auto!!!

I'd buy one in 378 Weatherby Mag, of course if is has a properly fitted barrel and front sight.

Any idea what the twist rate is on the 1895? I wonder how they get around losing 2.25" of barrel length and still maintaining the accuracy

It's possible that they had wood that was fine physically, but not pretty. It's also possible that getting molds made for synthetic and setting up a new QA process for injection molding was more investment than they think is necessary. Much cheaper to just use their usual wood production lines and craftsmen and paint with a durable coating. For limited "gimmick" type run, it makes more sense. Maybe if they sell a few thousand of these they'll come out with some plastic components. Or maybe they're waiting for Magpul to approach them and say they've designed a new lever action furniture line, would Marlin be interested?

When I installed my QD flush cup it looked like both my ADL & GSBL were laminate wood underneath the paint. The wood is quite heavy and very hard. Dark Knight Edition ADL has same looking black stock as the Dark series 1895. My GSBL is the Green with black webbing.
